Rosanna Giorno is a highly accomplished and regarded counsellor who is experienced in supporting adolescents, children, adults, and couples. She is registered with the Australian Counselling Association and supports clients to overcome a wide range of issues and significant life challenges. Rosanna’s practice is focused on helping clients to achieve positive outcomes that will help them to thrive in all facets of their lives.
We are all unique individuals with our own stories and struggles and there is no “one fits all approach”. We are the products of our families, our culture, our society, our education, and our own biological and psychological make-up. Therefore, it stands to reason that we will all handle life’s challenges in our own individual way. Working in collaboration with you, Rosanna’s interventions will be tailored to suit you and your specific needs and issues. She believes in building a strong therapeutic relationship where you will feel respected and supported to achieve positive outcomes. Her approach is person-centred and strengths-based. She uses a range of therapeutic modalities such as Narrative Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy and Solution Focussed Therapy, along with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy interventions.
Rosanna has come to understand the importance of self-awareness and how understanding ourselves can be the key to liberating us from unhelpful thinking, patterns, and behaviours. Counselling can help you to understand yourself at a deeper level, it can provide insight into your thinking and behaviour and this knowledge is key to true transformation in your life for it is only when you know better that you can do better. True self-awareness can lead to positive self-development that aligns with your values and life purpose. Rosanna is passionate about improving psychological wellbeing and helping her clients foster healthy relationships and live their best lives.
