Gayla Maxwell has over 20 years’ experience as a highly skilled Counsellor and Clinical Hypnotherapist. She started her training in 1999 as a Master Trainer of the A.S.I.S.T. program and has continued to build on her knowledge and experience from here. She is a member of the International Association of Counsellors and Therapists.

Gayla widespread experience has provided her vast insight and tools to support a broad range of issues such as trauma, domestic violence, sexuality and gender identity, suicide ideation, life changes, phobias, workplace challenges, grief, relationships, addictions, stress, anxiety and generalised life coaching and counselling. She is an expert in how to facilitate rapid, critical behavioural change in thoughts, feeling and habits, through a positive approach to human behaviour, which specifically works with emotional blocks and change resistance. She has an engaging, and inclusive counselling style, providing a safe environment for clients to explore their experiences and concerns. She offers a range of science-based intervention techniques some of which include Clinical Hypnotherapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Rapid Release Therapy and Mindfulness based techniques.
