Gayla Maxwell has over 20 years’ experience in the field and is a highly regarded and skilled Counsellor. She started her training in 1999 and has continued to build on her knowledge and experience from there. Gayla holds membership with the International Association of Counsellors and Therapists. Gayla's widespread experience has provided her with a vast insight and the tools to support change and progress across a broad range of issues and is an expert in facilitating rapid, critical behavioural change in thoughts, feelings, and habits.
Gayla has an engaging and inclusive counselling style, providing an environment for clients to explore their experiences and concerns. She offers a range of science-based intervention techniques to be able to tailor each session to suit a client’s needs and goals. Some of these techniques include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Rapid Release Therapy and Mindfulness based techniques.
