Brenda Harvey is a highly skilled and engaging counsellor with many years of experience in the field. Brenda is a member of the Australian Counselling Association and has worked in a range of diverse settings with individuals, children, adolescents, couples, and families.
Brenda’s outcome-focused, collaborative approach with clients addresses self-exploration and clarifies the concerns they bring into the session. Brenda then helps provide strategies, goals, and emotional self-awareness, and supports the development of a positive and empowering mindset in her clients. She believes that counselling is an invaluable journey to growth and provides assistance to those requiring a new direction. She is passionate about improving people’s lives by exploring challenges or any difficulties a client may face.
Brenda believes each person’s situation is unique and, depending on the client’s therapeutic needs, she uses a combination of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Motivational Therapy. Brenda offers a highly supportive experience and is committed to helping clients identify goals and potential solutions that strengthen self-esteem and promote behaviour change.
