Our history

In 2002, director Marcus Andrews founded Life Supports as a private counselling practice. Today, we are a highly respected network of practitioners providing counselling services to individuals, couples and families.

Our mission

Psychological wellbeing is a universal human right, and the foundation of a healthy society. Life Supports’ network of counsellors and psychologists seek to provide every client with effective, accessible counselling support regardless of gender, religious affiliation, race, cultural heritage, sexual orientation or economic circumstance.

Our Executive Team

Marcus Andrews – Founder & Counsellor

Marcus Andrews is a counsellor and founded Life Supports in 2002, as his own private counselling practice.

Almost 20 years later, Marcus’ commitment to mental health has spawned a network of high quality, real-world-effective therapists who consistently deliver positive outcomes to people seeking help, wherever they reside.

Marcus is passionate about counselling and still sees counselling clients, oversees the service and provides consultancy with therapists to support them and the industry in what Life Supports believes matters most- impactful client-driven counselling support.

Mahila Price – CEO

Mahlia is the CEO of Life Supports Counselling and has been advocating within the mental health industry since 2013. With a tertiary background in Science, Psychology and the Arts, she is innately curious about human behaviour, neuroscience and psychology and translating the frontiers of scientific research into real-world business/life application.

Mahlia Price has a passion for building socially impactful businesses that help people and their communities thrive. Believing wholeheartedly in creating positive change through authentic connections and knowledge engagement, she is responsible for leading and developing all aspects of the Life Supports mental health vision and purpose.

Intake Team

Ivy, Kim, Natalie, Harry, Danii, Sherien and Olympia are our dynamic team of industry-trained intake consultants.  Together they manage our enquiries from people reaching out 7 days a week.

The real lifeblood and heart of our organisation, our intake team are highly skilled and passionate advocated of counselling support. They make the complex process of finding and matching into a great therapist a seamless and empowering experience for our clients. Managing over 3000 enquiries a month, they provide genuine care, support and the absolute highest level of customer service to people reaching out.

They are the important face and spirit of our service, and are there for clients making the courageous step to reach out for help.

Ivy – Intake Consultant – Team Leader

Ivy’s work ethic, customer focus and passion for mental health access mixed with her background in psychology equips her to lead the heart of our organisation- our intake team- in its essential work. Combining her evidence-based skillset with her values-led ethic, Ivy works loyally to lead and develop our team of consultants who look after thousands of enquiries a month made by clients seeking counselling support.
