Tina Prasad is a qualified counsellor who holds registration with the Australian Counselling Association. Tina works with adolescents, adults and couples presenting with a wide range of concerns. Whether someone is navigating relationship challenges, feeling overwhelmed, struggling with anxiety, or simply sensing that life isn't quite working the way they'd like, Tina offers a space to gain perspective, and move forward with greater clarity.
Warm, genuine and easy to talk to, Tina believes counselling shouldn't feel intimidating or overly clinical. Her sessions are collaborative and guided by what matters most to each client, rather than a rigid agenda. She helps people recognise the patterns that may be keeping them stuck, understand why those patterns developed, and discover practical ways to respond differently in everyday life. Clients often appreciate Tina's calm presence, thoughtful questions and ability to balance honest reflection with practical strategies. She won't pretend to have all the answers, but she will listen carefully, challenge unhelpful assumptions when needed, offer fresh perspectives, and walk alongside her clients as they discover what works best for them.
Drawing on evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), attachment-based therapy and trauma-informed practice, Tina tailors her approach to the individual rather than expecting people to fit a particular model. She believes lasting change comes from understanding yourself more deeply, recognising that change is possible, and building the confidence to approach life's challenges in new and more helpful ways.
