Shorough Khafaji is a highly skilled counsellor with a Master’s degree in Psychotherapy and Counselling, backed by extensive experience in supporting adults, children, adolescents, couples and families facing a wide range of presenting concerns. She has worked in many settings addressing issues that affect her clients’ lives. Dedicated to providing effective support, Shorough helps clients effectively navigate the challenges they face.

Emphasising a person-centred and trauma-informed approach, Shorough is particularly passionate about assisting people affected by trauma, resulting in anxiety and dysregulation. This approach if both helpful for clients who know they are affected by trauma as well as clients who are not aware that trauma is affecting them. With a solid foundation in social science and psychology, she tailors her interventions to meet each client's unique needs, understanding the connection between trauma and behaviour.

Shorough's primary aim is to empower her clients to achieve their goals, facilitating personal growth by helping them understand their circumstances and explore viable options for moving forward. She believes that each individual processes their lived experiences in a unique way, resulting in emotional responses that are exclusive to them. In every session, Shorough is committed to building trust and creating a space where clients can engage in a person-centred approach, enabling them to explore their feelings at their own pace and support their journey toward improved mental health, relationships, and overall well-being.
