Rick Scott has extensive experience in practice as a counsellor and therapist working with adults and adolescents across a wide range of presenting concerns. As well as working as a counsellor, Rick also provides professional supervision to other counsellors. Rick gets great outcomes with the clients he works with and has 30 years of experience in the field.

Rick is a professional and grounded therapist who takes a practical and effective approach to counselling. He makes sure that his sessions meet clients’ goals from the very first session onwards, and revisits goals in each session to make sure that counselling is on track. Rick sees every client as unique, and therefore tailors his approach to their needs and circumstances. Rick’s counselling approach achieves great results for clients, with clients getting dramatic improvements in their lives and relationships.

Rick works mainly through Acceptance and Commitment Therapy because of the impacts it achieves; he also draws on expertise in trauma healing techniques such as Flash EMDR which he finds can resolve long-lasting trauma quickly and simply. His skills also include mindfulness, narrative therapy, and solution-focused approaches. The most common feedback from clients is that he works very differently to their previous experiences, and that he connects with them to deliver on their needs.
