Rachelle Slattery has extensive professional experience working as a counsellor supporting adolescents, adults, couples and families across a broad range of issues. Rachelle holds level 3 membership with the Australian Counselling Association. She is passionate about empowering her clients to make genuine and long-lasting positive change in their lives, by supporting her clients with practical guidance and effective strategies to address their concerns.

Throughout our lives, things can often interrupt our development and we become stuck in fixed patterns and beliefs about ourselves that get in the way of everyday life. Rachelle believes that everyone has the ability and resources to lead a satisfying and inspirational life. She therefore works with clients to allow them to utilise these resources in an effort to enjoy a greater well-being.

Each person’s emotional response to a situation is uniquely complex and based on their own personal experience and life circumstances. Therefore, Rachelle incorporates a number of counselling techniques into her practice, dependent on individual therapeutic needs. Techniques include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Trauma-Informed Therapy, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, and Solution Focused Therapy.
