Kaatheryn (Kate) Tempest is a registered member of the ACA & PACFA, who provides person-centred, trauma-informed counselling for individuals and couples. She offers a warm, grounded, and collaborative therapeutic space where clients can explore challenges, strengthen emotional well-being, and work toward meaningful, sustainable change.
Kate works with adults experiencing anxiety, stress, burnout, relationship concerns, communication difficulties, grief, life transitions, and patterns rooted in early experiences. She supports clients who are seeking clarity, emotional steadiness, and more effective ways of navigating their inner world and relationships.
Her approach integrates neuroscience-informed practice with evidence-based therapeutic frameworks, including Internal Family Systems (IFS) informed therapy, Gottman-informed couples work, mindfulness-based interventions, humanistic counselling, and nervous-system regulation strategies. Kate is also completing postgraduate studies to further strengthen her understanding of emotional processes, resilience, and mind–body integration.
Kate has over 10 years of experience and is committed to helping clients feel understood, supported and empowered. She works at a pace that feels safe and grounded, supporting clients to develop insight, build coping skills and move toward greater clarity, stability and personal growth.
