Joumana Jeffers is a highly accomplished counsellor with over 17 years’ experience in the field. Joumana holds membership with the Australian Psychological Society and the Australian Counselling Association.
Joumana believes that life is for living and that despite the challenges and stressors we face, we all need, want, and deserve to be happy. This allows us to lead fulfilling and productive lives and have nurturing relationships. Working to create a collaborative therapeutic relationship, Joumana's therapeutic approach centres on trust and empathy, creating a space free of judgement. She sees her role as a facilitator to help you reach your desired goals and realise your full potential. Joumana will work with you to provide personalised counselling to help you build greater self-knowledge, overcome personal trauma, regain control, and make positive changes that improve your life.
Joumana’s qualifications include a degree in Psychology as well as further qualifications in counselling. Along with this, the training she has received allows her to use a variety of highly effective evidence-based interventions including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, Trauma Informed Care, Solution-Focused and Positive Psychotherapy (PPT).
