Greta Chiera is a highly accomplished professional counsellor with nearly 20 years of experience working across a variety of settings. Registered with PACFA and the AASW, Greta currently works adolescents and adults, providing collaborative and effective support to clients presenting with a wide range of concerns.
Grounded in trauma-informed and person-centred principles, Greta’s practice is guided by evidence-based approaches. She tailors her work to the unique needs of each client ensuring that the therapeutic space is respectful, non-judgemental, and effective. Creating an environment where clients feel heard, validated, and supported is central to her philosophy.
Greta views counselling as an empowering and transformative process. She therefore works authentically and with deep commitment to meeting clients where they are. Her therapeutic approach draws on a range of modalities, including trauma-informed practice, narrative therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), solution focused techniques, and mindfulness-based strategies. Through this integrated and strengths-based framework, Greta supports clients in overcoming challenges, building resilience, and fostering a sense of autonomy throughout their counselling journey.
