Catherine Broughton is a highly skilled, professional counsellor who has extensive experience in working with a wide range of issues and challenges that people face. Catherine is registered with the Australian Counselling Association and provides supervision for other counsellors. Catherine works with clients of all ages, including couples and family groups.
As a passionate advocate for health and wellbeing, Catherine offers counselling that empowers her clients to achieve authentic and lasting positive change in their lives. Her insightful and empathic approach allows her to support her clients with practical tools and effective strategies that enable them to identify personal strengths, develop coping skills and self-care strategies, that assist them in navigating life’s challenges. Catherine also has a passion for youth mental health and provides healthy relationship, wellbeing, and primary prevention education alongside her practice.
Catherine uses a number of evidence-based therapies in her practice, dependent on each individual client’s unique therapeutic needs. These include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Trauma Informed Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and Mindfulness Therapy.
