Betty Papadogonas is a warm and compassionate counsellor with over 10 years’ experience assisting her clients to live an enriched life. She is a member of the AASW. In addition to her private practice, Betty has a substantial background working in the community health and clinical sectors. Betty provides effective therapeutic support to children, adolescents, adults, couples and families.
Betty uses a client-centred approach and is committed to supporting her clients develop realistic and practical solutions to address their challenges. She provides a comfortable and safe space to help her clients explore their issues and work towards developing strategies that meet their needs and achieve their goals. Betty is dedicated to helping her clients overcome life’s obstacles and enables and empowers her clients to focus on improving their health and wellbeing and create positive changes.
Betty tailors each of her counselling sessions to the therapeutic needs of her clients. She utilises and incorporates different models of counselling into her practice including Solution-Focused Therapy, Person-Centred Therapy, Focused Psychological Strategies, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, Skills Training, Psychoeducation and relaxation strategies.
