Anna Lagana is a skilled and highly regarded counsellor with many years’ experience in the field. She is a member of the Australian Counselling Association and has worked in a range of diverse settings with adolescents, adults, and couples. Her approach allows clients to feel comfortable from the moment they enter the practice.
Anna empowers her clients to create deep awareness within themselves, to clarify issues and explore possible solutions that lead to genuine and long-lasting positive change in their lives. Clients learn to manage their own emotions, thoughts, and feelings more effectively and consider better ways of coping with their concerns. Anna’s focuses not only on the here-and-now but also on how past experiences have shaped our beliefs and patterns. Clients are supported in creating meaningful and lasting relationships whether they be romantic, parental, familial, or the relationship and understanding they have with themselves.
Anna believes in the importance of fostering a collaborative, professional relationship with her clients that helps to ensure the counselling process is client led and best suits her clients’ needs. She uses a range of creative resources that are practical and useful in everyday life which allows clients to leave each session feeling uplifted and focused with a greater understanding of what is needed to improve physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing. Each session is structured around the client and uses modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Emotionally-Focused therapy, and Trauma Informed approaches.
