Andrew De-Ambrosis is an open and inclusive counsellor who adopts respectful and engaging processes that enable his clients to achieve positive outcomes. When working with clients, Andrew utilises strength-based models of counselling, cognitive-behavioural and narrative therapy, as well as solution-focused approaches. Andrew believes that everyone has hidden strengths that can be explored and utilised so people can find their own solutions to meet their challenges.
Andrew values enhancing respectful relationships and has a firm belief that people need to feel safe, especially in their relationships. As part of his practice, he engages clients to explore strategies to actively develop respectful and enriching relationships.
Andrew is well-equipped to deliver counselling services as he draws upon extensive knowledge gained over the course of his career regarding complex and challenging interpersonal issues, including how work can often impact on relationships. He engages with his clients to explore strategies that enable them to achieve their goals through his strengths-based approach.
Andrew has experience working with individuals, couples and families, and people from diverse cultural backgrounds. He has served a broad range of people with varying needs, giving him a wide breadth of experience.
