Andrew Chen is a Certified Practising Counsellor and a professional member of the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) with several years of counselling experience. Andrew has worked across a wide range of settings with children, adolescents, couples, families, and adults presenting with a wide range of concerns.
Andrew offers a professional yet compassionate approach to therapy. His counselling style is client-centred and trauma-informed, creating a highly supportive space with impactful services where people feel heard and understood, as well as getting the opportunity to deeply work on what brings them to counselling. Sessions are tailored to each client’s individual needs, with the goal of helping clients build resilience, gain clarity, and move forward with confidence. Clients often value his ability to connect genuinely, offering practical strategies alongside psychological support to create meaningful change.
Andrew draws on evidence-based practices and a wide range of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Existential Therapy, Narrative Therapy, as well as psychodynamic and psychoanalytic frameworks. He believes counselling is a collaborative journey, where insight, growth, and lasting change are always possible.
