Amber Tsindos is a skilled and highly regarded counsellor with over 18 years’ experience supporting individuals and couples in diverse settings. Amber is registered with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia, and she supports clients with a wide variety of issues.

Amber's approach is grounded in curiosity, compassion and collaboration, and the belief that individuals hold the key to their own way forward. She encourages clients to examine the typical ways they automatically react in their lives. Her approach allows her to create a supportive environment where clients can explore their difficulties without fear of judgement. Through their work with Amber, clients develop greater awareness and understanding of themselves, learning practical skills and tools to help them manage their present difficulties more effectively, as well as equipping them to handle future challenges. In deepening their process of enquiry, clients can also opt to reflect on the impact of earlier life events, as well as seeking to identify any barriers that might be holding them back from feeling good about themselves and developing strong and fulfilling relationships.

Amber believes counselling has so much to offer individuals in empowering them to skilfully navigate the inevitable ups and downs of their lives, and to facilitate lifelong learning and growth.  This is especially true for our relationships. Amber understands that none of us step into our relationships with a roadmap to guide us, or all the tools we might need to help us manage our differences effectively throughout our lives. She enjoys working with individuals and couples to help them manage unhealthy patterns of relating, bringing more empathy, a deeper sense of connection and understanding to their relationships.

Amber tailors her approach to meet the individual needs of each client. To do this, she draws on a wide array of evidence-based approaches, including Person-Centred Therapy, Strengths-Based Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Existential Therapy and Mindfulness-Based and Emotion-Focused approaches. Amber knows it takes courage to reach out and be vulnerable, and she is committed to making sure that her clients get what they are looking for when they come to see her.
