Zane Soblusky is a highly qualified counsellor based in Cairns with over twenty years’ experience working in diversified areas of counselling. Zane works with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families across a broad range of concerns and has particular interest in family therapy, relationships, addictions, mental health, grief & loss and men’s behaviour change. Zane has extensive networks in remote regional communities and demonstrated experience with many different cultural and ethnic backgrounds. Zane is also an active member of Australian Association of Social Workers and the Australian Counselling Association.
Zane is passionate about building and maintaining relationships, value-adding and undertaking a behavioural change guidance style. His focus is on providing an independent voice to guide clients to find reasonable and practical solutions in considerably difficult situations. He believes the best way to do this is by working with you, supporting you to understand your situation and to help you find strategies to move forward.
Each session with Zane is tailored to meet the clients’ personal therapeutic needs. He incorporates many contemporary models of counselling into his practice, including: Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness, Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Hypnotherapy, Dispute Resolution and Solution-Focused Therapy. Zane uses an integrated, client-centred approach, and is skilled at helping his clients address a wide variety of issues.
