Wayne is a highly skilled counsellor, with over 10 years’ experience, a genuine and intelligent approach, and a natural ability to support and guide clients in a caring and understanding way. Wayne’s professional experience over the years has informed his commitment to ongoing development, ensuring sound and knowledgeable practice. Wayne supports and provides counselling for children, adolescents, adults and families, and NDIS funded clients.
Wayne works with his clients from a person-centered framework. This approach enables an opportunity to access and identify the client’s areas of challenge, strengths, personal resources and uniqueness. Wayne walks alongside each client to get to know them as a person. This helps create a strong therapeutic relationship that values, supports and respects each individual. Wayne provides a safe, non-judgmental caring space for clients to share their most vulnerable concerns, gain a sense of hope and begin steps towards healing.
To help achieve the client’s goals, Wayne will draw upon evidence-based therapies, these include Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Gestalt, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and trauma informed counselling. These approaches provide practical tools to help bring about positive change and empowerment for the client.
Wayne Bowen has appointments available in the following location: Beenleigh
