Trina is an accomplished counsellor with many years’ experience in working with adults and families from a diverse range of cultural background and social settings. She is a member of the Australian Counselling Association. Trina has worked in many sectors including AOD residential rehabilitation centres and in community settings, and in private practice.
Trina is passionate about helping clients develop skills for self-awareness, self-acceptance and empowerment that enhance life skills and wellbeing. Her style is open, constructive, holistic/collaborative and emotionally intelligent. Trina is engaging in her approach, offers gentle support and at the same time, encourages your input and collaboration, in exploring options for your personal growth and transformation. She creates an environment in which you can express your feelings and gain deeper insight into the areas that challenge you.
Trina applies an integrative approach in counselling to promote healing and facilitate wholeness in a person, her therapeutic approaches include Person-Centred, Cognitive-Behavioural, Mindfulness, Strengths-Based, Positive Psychology amongst others.
