Master of Gestalt Therapy
Tracey Jones is a compassionate and highly skilled counsellor with extensive professional experience. She also holds membership with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia, and Gestalt Australia and New Zealand. In addition to her private practice, Tracey has worked supporting clients in both the not-for-profit and private sectors. She specialises in providing effective therapeutic support to individual adults.
Tracey has an authentic and grounded approach to counselling: she respects each person’s own understanding of their situation. She helps her clients to explore the complexity and depth of what can get in the way of living a connected and fulfilling life in relationship to self, and others. Tracey supports her clients in identifying unfinished business, and making creative adjustments to behavioural and thought patterns. Through awareness and a commitment to working in the present, Tracey’s clients experience positive change as they develop deeper self-awareness and insight. Tracey believes that when genuinely met and properly supported, her clients are able to work through difficult situations, integrate ‘a-ha moments’ and create sustainable, positive change in their lives.
Tracey is adept at combining a wide range of therapeutic approaches to meet each client’s unique support needs. These include Gestalt Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Somatic Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Art & Sand Tray Therapy, Attachment Theory and Trauma-Informed Therapy. Tracey is strongly committed to helping her clients resolve their concerns and achieve their personal goals.
