Tim is an excellent psychologist with years of experience providing individual and family psychological intervention. He is registered with the Australian Health and Practitioner Regulation Agency. He has experience across various industries including not for profit and private sectors and works with adults as well as specialising in work with older children, teenagers and young adults.
Tim is passionate about working with individuals to bring out their best. He creates a safe space by forging a warm and trusting relationship with clients that fosters self-discovery and change. He understands and respects each individuals’ sense of uniqueness and looks to draw up on their strengths and positive perspectives in aiding them with their unique, often complex problems and looks to holistically improve overall individual and family wellbeing. He understands the ongoing nature of difficulties and challenges in life and assists you work towards the best version of yourself for improved adaptability and outcomes. Clients have commented his style feels like a long natural conversation. Tim has extensive experience and skills working with children, teenagers and young adults on the Autism Spectrum and other developmental disorders.
He relates especially well to young males facing issues with relationships, work, school, porn use and internet addictions, drug use, family as well as various other stressors. He understands therapy may be short or long term and is happy to collaborate to find what works for you.
Tim takes an eclectic approach to therapy with clients often drawing on aspects of Psychodynamic, Existential, Cognitive Behavioural and Interpersonal modalities. He also uses Solution-Focused, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy approaches as well as Mindfulness. He provides parent consultation and assists formulate customised strategies for improvement. His therapy space is designed to ensure comfort and be aesthetically pleasing.
