Talia Wahnon is a highly skilled and engaging clinical psychologist with extensive professional experience. She is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and the Psychology Board of Australia. In addition to her private practice, Talia has a substantial background working in both the public and private sectors. Talia provides effective therapeutic support to children, adolescents, parents, families and adults.
Talia focuses on identifying and working through the challenges that her clients are currently facing. Learning and using a variety of skills and techniques, her clients will develop greater awareness and capacity to manage their emotions, thoughts, behaviours and life’s challenges more effectively. Counselling with Talia is also a valuable opportunity for her clients to uncover and access their unique strengths and capabilities, exploring values, vision and life goals. Her clients are able to not only resolve current issues but also learn ways to achieve their potential in every domain of their lives.
Talia’s style is warm and genuine, her approach to treatment is pragmatic and client-centred. Talia works from a strengths-based, collaborative approach. Her clients can expect their sessions to be practical, collaborative, and adjusted to their individual pace and needs. She utilises a range of evidence-based psychological therapies including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Family Therapy, and Attachment-based approaches including Circle of Security. By utilising these different approaches, clients can expect to find better balance, feel more empowered and become equipped to create the life they truly want and deserve.
