Sylvia is an accredited mental health social worker with 10 years experience. She is a member of the Australian Association of Social Workers. Her practice and training is particularly focused on trauma and adversity. Sylvia has worked in public and private organisations and has been running her own practice for 9 years. She works with all age groups, individuals, couples and families.
Sylvia really enjoys her work and is warm, compassionate, respectful and relaxed. She works hard to get results for her clients based on the areas they want to address. Sylvia believes life’s challenges can be met and changed, and she’s committed to helping people create better lives.
Sylvia approach is flexible and creative drawing on a variety of therapeutic approaches, including psychodynamic and CBT, and the main evidence-based therapies for treating trauma and adversity, such as Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing and Internal Family Systems Therapy. However, above all her approach is flexible and client-centred, which means that your needs and strengths come first.
