Susan Loane is an empathic and insightful counsellor with over 20 years’ experience in a range of counselling areas. She holds membership with Allied Health Professionals Australia, Mental Health Academy, the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, and the Queensland Council for Social Services. Susan has worked in both government and non-government organisations, and private practice. She specialises in individual counselling for adults, children, and adolescents, as well as offering therapeutic services for families and couples.
Susan is a compassionate and dedicated counsellor, who is exceptionally experienced at supporting clients as they face difficult life circumstances. She understands how hard it can be to find a sense of balance and effective coping strategies when dealing with life and relationship challenges. Through a calm and relaxed approach to her sessions, Susan helps her clients to develop the practical skills required to make significant changes and lasting improvements to their lives.
Susan draws on many therapeutic methods, and tailors her sessions to meet each client’s needs and goals. She uses a combination of counselling techniques, including: Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Humanistic Therapy, Intrapersonal Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Behaviour Therapy, Gestalt Therapy and Existential Therapy.
