Member of PACFA
Honorary Fellow, Westmead Psychotherapy Program, University of Sydney
Adjunct Fellow, MARCS Institute for Brain, Behaviour, and Development, Western Sydney University
Stephen has built a thriving counselling practice over the last 13 years, centred on the belief that people don’t need fixing – they need to be listened to in a way that allows them to discover their unique next step in their career, their relationships, or the next chapter of their life. By creating an environment of trust and safety, Stephen supports clients to regain courage, freedom, and flow by exploring why they get stuck and how to release old patterns of thinking and behaviours that no longer support them to thrive.
Stephen brings a research-based approach to his work. He is a member of PACFA (Psychotherapists and Counsellors Federation of Australia), and holds roles at two universities – he is an Honorary Fellow at the Westmead Psychotherapy Program, School of Medicine, University of Sydney, and an Adjunct Fellow at the MARCS Institute for Brain, Behaviour, and Development, at Western Sydney University.
Stephen draws from a variety of counselling methods including: Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Rogerian Therapy, Psychosynthesis, Mindfulness-based Therapy, and Transpersonal Therapy. His extensive education, experience and research enables him to meet the needs of each client with skill, expertise and care.
Stephen Malloch has appointments available in the following location: Avalon Beach
