Sara is a warm, approachable and experienced Counsellor having worked with clients for 20 years. She is a member of the Australian Counselling Association and loves supporting her clients to build a positive and empowering relationship with themselves and with life.
Sara brings a solid presence and consistent approach to her sessions that supports her clients to feel safe to explore the issues that may be arising. She works from the foundational understanding that everyone has the capacity to feel settled and at ease with life, whilst also dealing with challenging situations or uncomfortable feelings. With a background in Complementary Medicine and bodywork, Sara supports her clients to understand the intimate relationship between the mind and the body and supports the development of this connection which she sees as key for lasting and sustainable change and healing.
Sara provides an integrative approach to Counselling using techniques including as Person-Centred Therapy, Strength-Based Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Mindfulness, whilst modifying and tailoring her sessions to best support the clients’ individual needs in dealing with a wide range of areas including anxiety, trauma and distress, relationship support, dealing with conflict, feeling stuck, work life balance and more. Sara recognises that we are not defined by our experiences in life but can be very much enriched in how we respond to them when we get the right support and have a willingness to learn and grow.
