Sandi Rapoport is an approachable and insightful counsellor with many years’ experience, highlighted by a skilled understanding of clients needs. She is a member of the Australian Counselling Association and provides effective and knowledgeable therapeutic support to adolescents, adults, couples and families at her practice in Caulfield North.
Sandi recognises that people’s concerns can be extremely challenging, and through her ability to create a strong rapport and connection with her clients, she is able to empower them to identify and explore their concerns. This is entwined with a collaborative outcome focused reflection, where Sandi provides practical guidance, strategies and tools for people to go about their lives with more confidence, and a pathway for action that works for them. Sandi is passionate about supporting her clients in creating and maintaining healthy relationships and wellbeing, in all aspects of life, from individual relationship support to pre-marriage counselling, couples relationship coaching and beyond. She is committed to positive, sustainable outcomes and engages her clients in new possibilities for themselves where they are excited about a new future.
Sandi doesn’t believe in a one size fits all methodology. She recognises people’s individual differences. She listens for what will be the most appropriate way of working with her clients. Sandi incorporates a variety of evidence-based techniques to assist people achieve optimum results, including but not limited to: Gottman Couples Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Mindfulness Based Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Person-Centred Therapy and Hypnotherapy.
