Dr Samantha Fearns is a highly experienced and skilled clinical psychologist with specialised training in anxiety disorders, substance abuse/dependence treatment, and couple and family therapies. Samantha’s experience is not limited however and also includes a range of common and complex mental health concerns in supporting young people, adults, couples and families at her practice.
Samantha has been operating her private practice for over 10 years but also has a longstanding passion for teaching, training, and speaking. She has lectured and tutored in undergraduate and postgraduate programs for nine years, trained GPs and nurses in psychological therapies, designed inpatient therapy and staff training programs for aged care facilities, and spoken at events on mindset and conquering anxiety to achieve goals and lifestyle changes.
Samantha has a very warm, engaging, empathic, non-judgemental, and respectful approach in treatment, and tailors therapy plans collaboratively according to the individual’s needs, preferences, and style. Her primary therapeutic modalities are Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness- and Acceptance-based strategies, along with couple and family therapies.
