Ross Langford is a solution-focused counsellor with over 10 years’ experience in the private and non-profit sectors. He is a registered member of the Australian Counselling Association, and the AASW. Ross provides specialist counselling for children, adolescents, adults, couples and families.

Ross is passionate about working with people who want to create change in their lives and relationships. He believes that the distress caused by clients’ emotional or relationship pain represents a life stage or blockage to be worked through. As such, Ross encourages clients to embrace change and growth in a warm, nonjudgmental therapy environment. He helps clients to identify core problems and develop solutions that fit with their personal needs, strengths and life circumstances. Ross is both compassionate and accepting – he is committed to helping his clients start living the life they want, as quickly as possible. Ross knows from repeated examples in his practice that change is possible, achievable – and the only real alternative to staying stuck.

Ross’ approach to counselling is practical and evidence-based. He combines an empathetic approach with a solid base of counselling technical skills, training and experience. Therapeutic techniques that Ross uses in counselling include: Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and specialist Interoceptive Exposure Therapy for anxiety issues.
