Robert is a competent general psychologist with over 35 years’ experience in a range of settings, including the Victorian Education Department, a medical centre as well as in private practice. Robert is also a supervising psychologist with experience in delivering training and professional development programs to colleagues.
Robert has extensive experience with a broad range of clients and provides treatment for a range of referred conditions including:
- Anxiety, Depression, Stress and Phobias
- Grief, Anger management and conflict resolution
- Child, family and school-based concerns
- Relationship, Communication and Social Skills
- Posttraumatic Stress and other diagnosed clinical disorders
Robert tailor’s treatment to the individual needs of the client which can include: Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Relational Emotive Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Narrative Therapy, practical problem-solving and client-centred counselling.
Robert is a keen advocate of emotional intelligence as a strong factor affecting confidence and ability and has developed many approaches to confront and assist change. An immediate impression of Robert is his ability to connect and quickly build strong rapport with his clients which is a vital factor of successful counselling.
