Rita Klar is a highly regarded, insightful, and skilled professional counsellor. Rita holds full membership with the Australian Counselling Association. Her experience of working with adults, couples, families, and children, as well as her education in the field, positions her as an expert in the field. Rita has an exceptional ability in helping people make genuine positive changes in their lives and to dramatically improve their situations.
Rita has a keen interest in helping her clients manage what life brings, walking with them in their experience, building on resilience and ensuring safety. Rita helps her clients understand the circumstances around their experiences and is therefore able to present them with opportunities for change or adjustment. She expertly helps clients understand the root cause of their difficulties and equips them with knowledge and strategies to cultivate change and progress. Rita’s end goal is for her clients to live a fulfilled and meaningful life with lasting effect.
By using an array of techniques and modalities, Rita uses an eclectic but integrated approach to tailor each session to her clients’ needs and goals. These modalities include Person-centred Therapy, Bowen’s Family Systems Theory, Psychodynamic Therapy and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy. Rita is also trained in Gottman Method Couples Therapy Level 1 and Emotionally Focused Therapy for Individuals Levels 1 & 2.
