Rebecca Glorie is a supportive and compassionate psychologist with over 15 years’ experience. She holds registration with the Psychology Board of Australia and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society. Rebecca provides her therapeutic expertise to adolescents and adults including couples.
Rebecca creates a warm and respectful environment in order for her clients to feel safe to discuss their personal difficulties without judgement. Rebecca’s therapeutic approach is based on supporting her clients to develop increased awareness of their thoughts, feelings and behaviours. This approach empowers individuals to confidently engage with various aspects of their lives. She ascribes to the belief that by increasing our self-understanding and self-awareness we can lead a happier and calmer emotional life and have improved relationships with others.
Rebecca draws on a range of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Mindfulness, Schema Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, and The Gottman Method for Counselling Couples. She also specialises in trauma-informed practice using Eye Movement and Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR). Rebecca is strongly motivated to empower her clients to develop the skills and confidence required to address barriers to their well-being.
