Rachel is a qualified and skilled professional counsellor. She is a member of the Australian Counselling Association, and is committed to maintaining knowledge and skills in the most current therapy techniques. Rachel is dedicated to providing effective therapeutic support to adults from all sectors of society, through every life stage, who are facing a variety of life challenges.
Rachel is a caring professional with a warm manner that puts people at ease. She provides a compassionate, supportive counselling environment in which clients feel safe to express their thoughts and feelings, free from judgment and expectation. Rachel understands the great courage and trust it takes to seek counselling support, and respectfully works within each individual’s pace and style. She is a patient and attentive listener who is genuinely interested in her clients’ experiences. Rachel is committed to helping clients gain a full understanding of their circumstances, and to problem-solving achievable ways to make positive and lasting change.
Rachel uses a strengths-based, person-centred approach, and tailors counselling to meet each individual’s needs. She draws upon a range of evidence-based therapy modalities, including: Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
