Poppy is an accomplished and engaging counsellor with over 10 years’ experience in providing effective therapeutic support to adolescents, adults, families and couples. Poppy is committed to providing a safe and reassuring space, helping her clients find new ways to manage life’s challenges, with a focus on health and wellbeing.
Poppy envisages counselling as an opportunity for empowerment and development. By exploring an area of concern and seeking insight into the underlying issues and impacts, Poppy’s clients create the conditions that make change possible. Using effective strategies and establishing goals, clients are supported and encouraged to address concerns, seek greater wellbeing and more positive relationships with self and others.
Poppy’s counselling goal with each person is to provide a positive and uplifting counselling experience. Her warmth and her enduring empathy are the foundations for her successful practice. No matter what your concerns are, you will be left feeling not only heard but also empowered.
Poppy will tailor each session to meet the clients’ personal therapeutic needs and incorporates many contemporary models of counselling into her practice, including Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction.
