Paul is a highly accomplished and regarded counsellor who holds a Masters level degree and has experience working in the counselling field over many years. Pauls works with a wide range of clients with various presenting issues not limited to, but including couples counselling, working with victims of trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, addictions, and anger management.

Whilst being a very impactful counsellor, Paul is also compassionate and non-judgmental in his approach to counselling. He is a strong believer in the impact that good therapy can have on a person’s quality of life and is committed to helping his clients to attain these benefits. His therapy approach begins with understanding his clients’ goals, both for the counselling process and for themselves. Therapy itself includes practical, person-centred, and cognitive methods. In couples counselling, he draws from the Gottman method which focuses on effective communication skills and overcoming gridlock in conflict.

Paul holds a full membership with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia and uses experience gained over his career, as well as a range of modalities, to specifically craft a tailored therapeutic approach for each client. These modalities include Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, Emotion-Focussed Therapy, and Person-Centred Therapy approaches. Because of this, Paul is able to meet the therapeutic needs of each client and provide them with a means of working through their challenges to achieve a happier life.
