Paul is a skilled professional counsellor, supporting children, young people, adults, couples and families. He is registered with the Australian Counselling Association and recently extended his training to become a Gestalt therapist. Paul is also a member of GANZ (Gestalt Australia and New Zealand) and The Australasian Telehealth Society, with himself having a belief in the validity of online therapy.
Paul is gentle in his approach to therapy, respectful and nonjudgmental of each individual, regardless of your concerns. His assured personal presence and capable ability ensures reflective, but more importantly, objective care of each client. Paul acknowledges that each of us demonstrate varying levels of capable ability to face life’s difficulties. He believes in working with the whole person, taking into account the individual physical, emotional and relational experience and works pro-actively and collaboratively towards encouraging awareness.
Paul believes that through awareness his clients can achieve greater wellbeing and empowerment, by interrupting processes, behaviours and habits that do not support personal growth. Paul will help you by engaging with an authentic interest, and providing an emotionally safe and supportive environment. Paul encourages his clients to pay attention to how they behave in life (mindfulness), and favours interventions that promote the development of personal agency, a capable ability to live with difference.
