Paul Baker is a highly skilled and caring counsellor with many years of professional counselling experience. In addition to his work as a counsellor in private practice, Paul also has an extensive background as a counselling coordinator and clinical supervisor in the non-profit sector. He specialises in providing effective therapeutic support to individual adults.
Paul is an empathic and engaging counsellor, who provides a safe and nonjudgmental environment for his clients to freely discuss their concerns. He helps his clients to identify the challenges holding them back, and equips them with the knowledge and skills they need to make improvements and lasting changes within their lives and relationships. Paul also has substantial expertise and training in anger management, compulsive behaviours and addictions. He provides his clients with tools and strategies designed to address conflict, improve communication, and enhance their sense of support and connection. He is dedicated to helping his clients find practical and effective ways to achieve their personal and relationship goals.
Paul is skilled in creating tailored sessions of counselling for his clients, using a variety of evidence-based methods. Therapeutic techniques that Paul uses include: Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Gottman Method Couples Therapy. Paul is strongly committed to achieving positive and lasting results for his clients.
