Pam Saunders-Ward is an accomplished counsellor with over 20 years’ experience. She is a member of the Australian and British Counselling Associations and supervises other counsellors in clinical practice. In addition to her private practice, Pam has a substantial professional background in the public, corporate, emergency services, academic, education and private sectors in clinical provision and professional training. Pam provides effective therapeutic support to children, adolescents, adults, couples and families.
Pam is committed to helping her clients develop effective strategies to address their concerns and overcome difficulty. She envisages counselling as an opportunity to develop new perspectives on problems being experienced. By exploring an area of concern in life and seeking insight into underlying issues and impacts, this enables Pam and her clients to create the conditions that make change possible. In this way, each counselling session can develop into a positive and uplifting experience. Pam is committed to helping her clients find new ways to manage life’s challenges, with a focus on health and wellbeing.
Each session with Pam is tailored to meet the clients’ personal therapeutic needs. Pam incorporates many contemporary models of counselling into her practice, including: Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Narrative Therapy & Yarning and EMDR. Pam uses an integrated, client-centred approach, and is skilled at helping her clients address a variety of issues.
