Nora Chan is a highly effective and accomplished counsellor who works with clients presenting with a wide range of concerns. Nora has worked in a range of settings and is focused on supporting adolescents, individual adults and couples.
Nora brings an authentic and outcome-driven approach to counselling, with respectful curiosity. She is comfortable having conversations about difficult or sensitive topics and balances empathy with gentle challenge and practical support. Nora believes that counselling is about more than feeling heard. By helping clients make sense of what is going on, recognise patterns and consider different perspectives, she supports them to develop greater insight, self-trust and confidence in making choices that feel meaningful and sustainable.
Nora values each client’s autonomy and works collaboratively with people rather than imposing a particular idea of what change should look like. Nora’s approach is tailored to the individual, drawing on Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Schema Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Sometimes making sense of what’s going on is the first step towards changing it.
