Nicole is an empathetic person who enjoys engaging with a diverse variety of clients including adolescents, adults and couples. She is a professional counsellor registered with the Australian Counsellors Association. She has a degree in Counselling and has completed a four year certification in Gestalt Therapy, which involved extensive therapeutic work with clients along with attending personal therapy.
Nicole believes that the relationship between the therapist and client is the foundation of therapeutic change. Her engaging and welcoming approach helps to reassure clients, and creates a safe space to open up and explore their concerns. Nicole is passionate about empowering clients to gain further insight into themselves and their relationships, fostering self-discovery and equipping clients to make changes in their own time and in their own way.
Each session Nicole meets the person where they are at, in a holistic and person-centred way. Nicole incorporates a number of counselling techniques into her practice, dependent on individual therapeutic needs. Modalities that Nicole uses include Gestalt Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
