Michelle Adams is an accredited counsellor with many years’ experience in a variety of settings. Michelle is a member of the AASW and has a broad range of experience working with people of all ages, including older children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. Her friendly approach is genuine and authentic, which puts you at ease and gives you confidence in her professional skill and insight.
Michelle provides counselling with a strengths-based focus and looks forward to the opportunity to get to know her clients. She will help create a plan forward that meets your individual needs and goals, offering hope and specific strategies to achieve your goals and mental wellness. Michelle believes that any change is possible when a person is ready and she will support you in that space and process of change at her welcoming and comfortable practice.
Michelle uses a range of focused interventions which include: Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Recovery-Orientated Therapy, Mindfulness, and Solution-Focused Therapy. Michelle has a client-centred approach and is skilled at helping her clients address a variety of issues, begin to understand the story behind and set achievable goals specific to you.
