Michael Mormanis is an exceptionally skilled psychologist with over 15 years’ experience providing professional counselling services. He is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency. Michael has extensive experience in the government, non-government and private sectors. He specialises in providing effective therapeutic support to individual adults.
Michael is dedicated to supporting his clients explore new ways of relating to themselves and those around them – he understands that relationships are central to wellbeing. Michael helps his clients to prioritise their needs, and effectively manage complex emotions and experiences. By developing assertiveness and making good decisions, clients can overcome obstacles to achieving their goals. Psychotherapeutic counselling with Michael is an opportunity to create genuine, long-lasting change. Michael works collaboratively with clients via Psychodynamic Psychotherapy to address and replace unhelpful patterns of thought, emotion and behaviour with more adaptive responses. Other therapeutic techniques that Michael uses include Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. Michael is committed to providing a safe, trusting space for clients to build the strength and resilience needed to face their challenges, and live a richer, more satisfying life.
