Melody Durand is an exceptionally skilled and empathic counsellor with extensive experience working in private practice. She is also a member of the Australian Counselling Association. Melody is deeply committed to helping her clients achieve solution-focused outcomes and optimal wellbeing in all areas of life. She specialises in providing effective therapeutic support to young people, adults and couples.
Melody is a respectful and compassionate counsellor who works alongside her clients as a patient, caring and insightful guide. All clients receive a warm, nonjudgmental and confidential environment, where they are encouraged to be open and honest. Melody assists clients at their preferred pace, focusing on one achievable goal at a time. Counselling with Melody encourages clients to define their desired outcome, and work collaboratively towards achieving those positive changes in their lives and relationships. By helping individuals identify the core issues underlining their thoughts, emotions and beliefs, Melody supports her clients to harness their inner strengths, learn new skills, and celebrate successes along the path to personal growth and achievement.
Melody takes an integrative approach in her counselling practice. She uses a variety of tools and techniques, depending on each client’s personal needs and goals. Therapeutic techniques that Melody uses include: Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Experiential Therapy, and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy. Melody is passionate about alleviating suffering, restoring hope, boosting confidence and building resilience in her clients. She is dedicated to helping all of her clients live authentic, meaningful lives and feel more satisfied in their relationships.
