Lucy McCarthy is a highly experienced Counsellor and Clinical Supervisor with 15 years of experience in the field. She is a member of the Australian Counselling Association and has worked in a variety of settings providing counselling services to individuals and couples as well as supervising other Counsellors.
Lucy will work with you in an impactful and professional manner where mutually constructed outcomes will be the focus of your appointments. She will tailor the intensity and her approach to meet your needs whilst maintaining a consistent environment underpinned by warmth and authenticity so that you are able to get the most out of each appointment.
Lucy will work with you to focus in on your individual concerns and formulate a clear plan for how she will support and guide you to move forward. She will discuss with you various evidence-based therapies that would be appropriate for your concerns, which could include: Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Trauma Informed Therapies, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Existential Psychotherapy, Narrative Therapy and Interpersonal Process Therapy. Lucy will bring an authenticity to counselling that will allow you to feel comfortable and confident enough to explore your concerns, then co create a path forward.
