Louise Robinson is a highly skilled and insightful psychologist with over 12 years’ counselling experience. She has worked extensively in both private practice and the education sector, and holds membership with the Australian Psychological Society. Lou offers confidential and professional counselling to adolescents, adults, couples, families and older adults for a wide range of issues.
Lou’s approach to counselling is warm, respectful and encouraging. She is passionate about alleviating her clients’ suffering and restoring hope. Lou provides her clients with effective skills that are easy to put into action. She uses a practical blend of counselling and mindfulness to create meaning – and lasting change. By boosting confidence and building resilience, Lou helps her clients to feel more satisfied within themselves and their relationships. The tools and strategies acquired through counselling enable Lou’s clients to move forward and live meaningful, authentic lives.
Lou listens deeply in order to understand each client’s psychological needs. She then intuitively tailors counselling around those unique needs and each client’s signature strengths. Therapeutic techniques that Lou uses include: Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Depth Therapy and Mindfulness-Based Therapy.
