Lisy De La Chaise is a highly skilled and accomplished counsellor with over 30 years’ experience. She is a member of the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia and the Australian Dispute Resolution Association and supervises other counsellors in clinical practice. In addition to her private practice, Lisy has worked in the government, non-profit and community health sectors. Lisy specialises in providing specialist therapeutic support to adolescents, adults, families and couples.
Lisy is a compassionate and engaging counsellor. She is passionate about educating and equipping her clients with new skills and tools and works with them to develop effective strategies to address their concerns. She envisages counselling as an opportunity. By exploring an area of concern in life and seeking insight into underlying issues and impacts, Lisy’s clients create the conditions that make change possible. In this way, each counselling session can develop into a positive and uplifting experience. Lisy skillfully motivates and encourages her clients through the transitions and challenges of life.
Each session with Lisy is tailored to meet the clients’ personal therapeutic needs. Lisy integrates many contemporary models of counselling into her practice including: Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Reality Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Systemic Family Therapy.
