Laura Williams is a psychologist with extensive counselling experience in both the public and private sectors. She is also a registered member of the Australian Psychological Society. Laura counsels clients from diverse circumstances and backgrounds who are experiencing a variety of mental health and interpersonal concerns. She specialises in providing effective therapeutic support to adolescents, adults, families and couples.
Laura’s approach to counselling is both flexible and collaborative. She is committed to supporting her clients to identify their core concerns, values and needs, and set personal goals. Laura then helps her clients to achieve those goals via targeted short or long-term counselling. She also has extensive specialist training and experience counselling clients with medical conditions, neurological impairments, adjustment issues, personal conflicts and relationship concerns. Laura immensely enjoys working with clients to achieve the outcomes in life that they desire.
Laura’s counselling style incorporates a range of evidence-based treatments, tailored to meet the needs of each client. Techniques that Laura uses include: Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Solution-Focused Therapy. Laura is fully committed to helping her clients to successfully resolve their concerns and achieve their personal goals.
