Kerryn Armor is an empathetic and compassionate counsellor with over 10 years’ professional experience. Kerryn is an accredited member of the Australian Counselling Association and she is also an accredited member of the Australian Counselling Association’s College of Supervisors, where she supports fellow counsellors through individual, group and peer support supervision. In addition to her private practice, Kerryn has worked in the public, private and community health sectors. Kerryn specialises in providing effective therapeutic care to children, adolescents, adults, couples and families.
Kerryn uses her extensive experience to help the client to feel safe with her so that a relationship of trust can be formed. Kerryn has a particular interest in relationship therapy and specialises in working with couples and families as well as individuals facing challenging situations. Kerryn works with her clients to build on their strengths, optimise life choices, and to develop skills that will improve the client’s overall wellbeing. Through counselling, individuals, couples and families can learn to acknowledge each member as a whole, strengthen their skills, and increase insight to strengthen their relationships.
Kerryn is client focused and each session is tailored to meet the clients’ personal counselling needs and goals. She incorporates many contemporary models of counselling into her practice, including: Person Centred Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, Solution-Focussed Brief Therapy, Gestalt Therapy and Sandplay Therapy. Kerryn supports her clients through their journey to a positive outcome.
