Kathryn is a well regarded counsellor with years of experience. She is a member of the Australian Counsellors Association and works with a diverse range of clients including children, youth, individuals, families and couples. Kathryn has a genuine concern for people who are struggling to navigate life, due to stress and anxieties as a result of many life issues. Kathryn has a naturally warm, empathic connectedness with people of all ages, from all sectors of society.
Kathryn has a professional approach and listens to and cares about the whole person’s health and offers proven practical and attainable interventions. She has a firm belief that everyone has the potential to rise above areas in their life which compromise their ability to find a sense of personal value and fulfilment. Kathryn’s private home-based practice is comfortable, peaceful and non-clinical. She works with her clients individually to develop their goals of therapy and empowers her clients to reach improved wellbeing.
Through a client-centred approach and to meet a broad range of individual needs, Kathryn offers a range of contemporary therapies including: Play therapy- a modality of choice for children, Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical-Behaviour Therapy, Solution-Focused and Narrative Therapy, with a focus on family systems and using an experiential approach. Kathryn has proven skills to address a wide range of emotional and mental struggles with client testimonies reflecting that she is a gifted counsellor.
